Fun in my fabric world....

I am a 1.5...I think!

Maree & Chookyblue have recently had a discussion about there being two types of crafters.Type 1 is super organised, efficient & focused, perhaps a tad annoying(!)...Type 2 is more casual, laid back, tends to be a little disorganised. Hints were made that I might be a bit stuffy...tending to be  more Type 1 than most... hmmm... lucky I am not overly thin skinned...I could see their thinly veiled point...LOL...sometimes a chill pill may be in order in Cardy world...even I can see it! I responded that I think a 1.5 may be in order as we all know that procrastination is big at my place! Especially when it comes to binding...aaargh!
So, after finishing my Christmas stitching, writing Christmas cards & spraying the magnificent crop of weeds that have flourished since our recent rain....I decided to bite the bullet & stitch the binding on this disappearing 9 patch from Kate Spain's Christmas fabric. My table looks quite festive!

It looks fabulous - well done. I hate binding too, a bit dull. I think a 1.5 is a great compromise.

It's not only festive...it's gorgeous! I'm at the same point with my 12 Days of Christmas tablerunner...no binding...oops! Funny thing...I have that EXACT same tealight holder sitting on my table at the moment, so I can sortof picture how cute my runner would look. I may have even replied to Maree's post that I also consider myself a 1 1/2...this is getting scary!

Mmm I think maybe you are closer to a 1 than a 2 but that is not a bad thing! I would love to be a 1!!! That is so pretty.

Are you going to use it as a tablecloth? It looks fantastic! We don't think you're stuffy.... or in the need for a chill pill.... you're just super organised and motivated... except when it comes to binding of course! ;)

Beautiful quilt, I'm envious, I'd love to be a 1.5, but sadly it will never be!

That looks great!! I wish I could be a 1, but tend to be more of a 2. I figure it's the one area in my life where I don't answer to anybody but me!! LOL

Have a great Christmas!
