Blue...it was a challenge!

 A fairly quiet weekend here...some time to play with my soul searching blocks. 
First green...that was okay...I quite like green, then to blue. Well, then the fun began! I quite like blue...but I prefer warmer colours and green. Don't even wear a lot of blue. Don't buy it in patchwork fabric unless I have a project in mind. So now I have to do a whole block in blue?????? I need to work through this! It took a loooong time...much procrastinating...strips of fabric littering the floor...searching through my stash over and over looking for another bit of blue. Even DS was enlisted for advice! 
But here are my blue and green blocks...I am happy with them, but will have a little break before working on my remaining blocks...red, pink, aqua, purple and brown.
Spent the afternoon organising my embroidery stuff...linens are all measured, labelled with thread count and packed away...threads are all checked off a master list and grouped...here is my cute little cupboard that houses these delights!

    It may have been a challenge, but it looks great. You are too organised with your embroidery. LOL Unlike me, who has bits and pieces all over the place. I love your cabinet.

    There is nothing more inspiring than organisation :) Just looking at my threads all neatly arranged makes me want to pull them out and start stitching! I'm loving your strips of colour...gorgeous!

    The blocks look wonderful! I am trying to find myself with my quilting. As 99% of stuff has to be mail ordered, I don't know what direction to go in--Fig Tree and BBD, or Amy Butler and more modern things, etc. So far I'm mostly sticking with charm packs! LOL

    Good for you on the embroidery organizing! My stuff is all over and I really need to organize a bit better.

    Your blocks look great - it will be interesting to see them all put together. Your cabinet looks like a treasure chest - nothing better than having all your treasures organised.

    That's funny about the blue - I would say I like blue more than green generally, but when I look through my fabric I seem to have almost no blue and lots and lots of green - Crazy!
    Love the blocks too, looking good.

    Just one blue block and one green block? That would be a challenge with so many shades of both! What concentration to whittle it all down into those lovely blocks. I'd still be trying to choose fabrics.
