Excuses Part Four

Yup...I am still at it!
Maybe I need some sort of counselling...there definitely is an issue around me and the "B" word...maybe it is a deep seated anxiety related to those primary school sewing classes and the super cranky and stifling teacher we had...or the trauma of High School sewing classes where I had to make a lawn "angel suit"...that caused me a great deal of angst...bias binding still gives me palpitations...hmmm...I think I am about to have a pivotal insight moment! Blog-therapy perhaps?
Despite all the procrastinating and wailing, there has been some activity here...
bibs for the darling twin boys newly arrived for my very sweet neighbours...
and a lovely stack of blues...
work on binding...
I definitely had some time as there was no cooking going on!
A fence being painted...
and a technically tricky BOM block nearly done...
all this achieved despite some stubborn obstacles!
The binding should be revealed verrrry soon!

  2. I'm with you Cardy...I really REALLY don't like sewing binding down either. In fact, I think I may have to borrow some of your excuses...they're pretty creative ;)
Love those bibs, and your block looks very technical!

  3. I think you could be onto something there.......lots of us could do with some blog therapy......or is that why we sew??? Lovely bibs, they kind of match your house. Come on with the binding, we want to see it finished.

  13. The bib is gorgeous, I bet you can't wit for baby cuddles in return.
Non cooking looks to be the answer to achieving more, I could take a leaf out of your book. I'm loving the blocks.

  14. The bib is so lovely and so is the colour of your house (and fence). The binding will be done - as you've said before, it's all about enjoyment.

  15. What took you so long to post the next excuse? I have been hanging out to hear what it was...and it turns out there are really lots of excuses...all of them valid! Love the bib....the BOM and the fence and am looking forward to the binding reveal! I had a few issues with the BOM block and put it aside for a few days ...finally got around to picking it up again last night and it's done...the points don't look as good as yours though....can you have "point envy"?

  17. The bib is so cute! I am laughing at your dinner selections. Some weeks I feel so guilty when it seems like everything in the grocery cart is frozen in its own serving dish! Oh well, we can't be perfect all the time ;)

  21. You've been busy, no wonder you don't have time to bind. That is such a gorgeous bib!! and lovely stack of blues and that tricky BOM is looking fab! Just a thought, maybe you'd like machine binding better, it's certainly faster. Your cat never fails to make me laugh, such a cutie!
