Cardy needs her groove back!

As you know, the last few weeks have been pretty turbulent at my place. I have been struggling to get life back on track & some order restored....as I like order! Yesterday I saw a glimmer of my usual self returning & I feel I will see more as each day passes. Working 10hr days has given me little energy at night & I don't like it! So DD & I walked to town to get the newspapers yesterday, I rearranged furniture & even cleaned out a drawer...mmmm...I think my mojo is coming back!
The only thing that I have kept working on is my MO medallion. I added vintage ricrac for stems & yoyos for flowers....what do you think?
Each night I have been serenaded by a big noisy bunch...here is a partial group shot of my back deck...
they hang around the bug zapper! They are getting a bit friendly...trying to get in the kitchen window & one even came in the car with me to work! Not attractive!

Each day will get a bit better-exercise does help the process believe or not!! More walks for the newspaper!
Love the ric rac-it really makes it zing. I am still in the process of tracing all the bits so a way to go to catch up. Do like the block though.
Great pic of the frogs.

oh! moving furniture is a very good way of handling the 'things' we are expected to deal with in this life. i looked after my dad at home, he died in the early hours one morning with me by his side. afterwards i went to the kitchen, made a nice cup of tea, then i had to do something! so i took everything off my kitchen dresser, washed it, wiped the shelves down etc. and waited, on my own, for the sun to come up! it will get better, day by day. thoughts to you.

Take it slowly, one day at a time..

you need to take a lesson from those frogs and start hopping..........get hopping into that sewing room and sink into a new project....
....love the Cheeky Chook

PS we have quite a few here and a couple of the little ones have decided that they want to live in my hall or bedroom......

I just luuuuuurve your medallion block, it is fantastic.
do not be so hard on yourself, life is to be enjoyed and savoured, it is far too precious to be anything else. You have been thru some tough times, so relax and take care of yourself. It will all come back in time (and 10 hr days - I am not surprised you are tired at night time!) one day at a time...

Hiya Cardy :0)

it takes time to get back into life again - and even then some days are tough - take it slow and keep your mind busy with things you love. Big hugs to you...

Those frogs - ahh, bless them waiting for their dinner at the bug zapper - fast foods for frogs - you should have a little drive through sign up... They are too cute - I would have to name them all - and at least they are gobbling up the dead bugs (cos dead bugs really aren't attractive) much rather have some nice green friends than a porch full of flies on their backs.

Oh, and the block looks great - love the ric-rac - sorry for the rather long comment :0)

hugs
