Locally I have some very dear stitching friends...we only occasionally all get together as the demands of work, family & shift working husbands frequently get in the way. But a few of us meet more regularly to stitch, laugh & debrief about whatever is happening in our lives. A cup of tea...a piece of cake...much cheaper than therapy! Here are some snippets of what we are up to!
An african inspired quilt following Lea's recent vacation...based on an original design by Ann Ferguson...
being attacked by my mini lion!
A beautiful table runner...
more gorgeous French General...this time inspired by blackbird designs.
We had fun...how about you!

Right. You sent me info about this the last time. But tell me if I understand this correctly.... I would have blog comments coming to my e-mail if I changed it to reply. ??? Yes? No?
I do not want blog comments on my e-mail. That is reserved for my family and business.
hi ya! what a wonderful way to spend a day....
Great that you have some friends to stitch with!! Love all the things you girls have been making!
Hello Cardygirl,
Beautiful quilts, thanks for sharing! Well, I have fun too: finally some good weather in Holland, so I jump into the garden ;)
Bye, Carolien
nothing like a good day with the girls, stitching, eating cake and solving the problems of the world! maybe those who are the leaders of our countries should have such groups, it doesn't cost much, just a smile, a hug and a good chat, some stitching and of course the cake!
Beautiful quilts - thanks for sharing!
Sounds fabulous Ali, love the 'mini' lion...and the gorgeous quilt that is being savagely attacked!!!! Beautiful table runner and gorgeous applique, thanks for sharing, so glad you had a wonderful time. xo
Thanks for sharing. I was thrilled to see another version of my African Quilt (the original is on my blog) made by Lea, who purchased one of my African Squares packs! It's so amazing when you stumble apon these links in the network! Ann ;)
Beautiful quilts. It's great to spend time with friends quilting. I go to 2 quilting groups which means I usually get to 1 of them each week.
Love ToothFairy's quilt, it's so refreshing to see quilts inspired from different nations.
The table runner is gorgeous, beautiful fabrics and a fascinating pattern!
