What was I thinking?

Sitting on the lounge talking to my DD the other night I spotted something odd... I looked....then looked more closely...a sudden realisation...this fully complete quilt that has lived in my family room for close to four years has a flaw! So VERY obvious now! Has this ever happened to you?
Hey Chookyblue...are you having the last laugh????
You just have to laugh...now I can't stop looking at it!

Don't mention it Alison, no-one will know unless you tell them. Its not a HUGE flaw.

If you hadn't mentioned it, none of us would have known. Actually took me a minute to find it. I recently did a similar thing on my BOM and thankfully when I posted a picture of it someone called my attention to it and I was able to correct the mistake before the quilt was sewn. This just reminds us that none of us are perfect! Nola

Shown in a close up picture, the mistake shows a lot. But it must not be very noticeable when viewed as a whole quilt or you would have noticed it much sooner. Just have a chuckle every now and then about it.

OH NO..........it took a long time to find it............I found one in a magazine the other day the star point is in the wrong spot.........I thought that was pretty funny.........

It's another don't drink and quilt ad! Mother dear did contemplate correcting this mistake-i reminded her that the quilt is finished, quilted and bound! It is not that big a mistake and just reminds us that we're all human..

Well, it didn't take 4 years, but yes, I have had a moment like that.

Definitely takes a while to find it.Don't worry about it!
I've had one quilted with the freezer paper still behind a piece of applique..it has an interested 'crunkly" sound!.
I did that BOM too.. still have the 'dusk' part in a drawer somewhere..

Just think of it as your "humility block". I had to look closely before I noticed it, so it is a case of "Don't tell them and they won't know".

Oh that is funny! I spent a year stitching a very large tapestry once, and a good friend saw an 'eskimo' in the rams horns, now all I can see there is an eskimo (not supposed to be there of course!!). Yours is still a gorgeous quilt btw. xo
