Not me....never!

Any spare moment this week has seen me dashing to the sewing room to work on Mon Ami for the Le Petite group. All the HST's were a bit time consuming but they look great. It was fun to hear everyone's favourite techniques. I laid them out on the lounge room floor & went off to work...and came home to find them tossed around. Not sure who might have done this....hmmmm!
Today saw the much anticipated arrival of some cross stitch patterns & linens I had ordered in November from Country Stitches. After a delay due to linen availability they left Brenda on Dec 14...and disappeared! I had given up hope and then they arrived today...in a VERY sorry state! Wet, ripped apart, tyre marks & mould...yuk! All bundled in a plastic bag ( not a good idea) from Sydney Gateway with a note saying this is how it arrived in Australia....if only it could talk....it would probably cry! Most was safe in plastic but one kit was mouldy & I think some wool felt is salvageable. It came from Storm Lake...ominous! I will post pics as the patterns are great when it has all dried out!

What a sorry state for your parcel to arrive in! Oh well, I bet you are counting your blessings after it being in transit for so long :) Hope you can salvage it all.

Loving your Petite so far...very cute!

Gorgeous hst's with one 'innocent' looking cat! But Oh, what a horrible state to find your parcel in. Like you say, if only it could talk and tell you what it has been through. Seems will all the flooding in Australia it would have happened here rather than o/s, I hope you can save it. xo

Love the photo with your cat and the HSTs. Too cute! But boy that package, I am sure has seen better days. I have never seen something in such a state.

"Not me, I'm innocent!" said the kitty. So sad about your package, and mould, yuk! Hope you can salvage most of it.

How can I help? I may have pieces of linen from my cross stitching days. I would gladly mail them to you. Let me know how I can help and it would be my pleasure. I also have beautiful hand dyed wool. Hugs!

Oh I'm so sorry that happened to you. I have some wool felt I could go though and see if it is in any of the colors you need...just let me know. That is so disappointing but it does happen and typically it is not the fault of the person who sent it.

Smiles,
Kelly

That innocent looking kitty would never play with your blocks.
Shame about your package.

Oh no Cardy what a state that package is in but at least it arrived. I ordered some fabric from the States in November last year and am still waiting for it - god only knows where it has ended up. Thankfully the store that I purchased from were happy to send a replacement. xxx

Your Mon Ami looks great.....I wonder who moved your blocks around? I agree, this project is taking more time than I thought, but I'm loving the results :) Sorry about the sad state of your package. I hope it still works out!

I had to LOL at the pic of the cat with the quilt blocks. Maybe your cat was just trying to give you suggestions on how to better arrange your quilt blocks?! LOL

ACK on the stitching parcel arriving that way! That's terrible. I had a Christmas gift from my brother go astray, with stuff stolen out of it, and every agency along the way (post offices, delivery system, etc.) blamed the other. It was very frustrating. I'm glad your package finally arrived!
