The best laid plans!

Autumn is on it's way..it is getting a little cooler at night (though it was still 30C here today)...and so those pesky mice are trying to come inside. I had planned on stitching, study & weeding for the weekend...all worked out....or so I thought! In my linen press there were signs of little mousy visitors...so the megawash & clean began...and then Saturday was gone! The only plus is a beautifully clean & tidy laundry & linen press!
Some stitching today....an Easter bag for a big boy (from an Anni Downs pattern)...
Brocante...the next Le Petite project in French General!
Now it is raining....but here is a real sign of cooler weather ahead.

Annoying mice, I get the same trouble with ants when the weather is too hot outside. The bag is great, love the striped fabric & the next Le Petitie quilt looks stunning. Can't wait to see the end result again - masterpeice! Tracee xx

I'm sure I saw a mouse scuttling around in the dark the other night, but I haven't been able to find where it's hiding ... yuck.
I love your Easter bag!

Ugh, mice!! We still laugh at the Great Mouse Invasion of 2005. I never had to deal with them in my childhood home (we always had cats) so when I was carrying a laundry basket upstairs & one met me on the landing, I don't know who was more surprised. We tried traps, we tried sealing up everything, and we finally had to put poison pellets out. Yikes. Of course, then my son announced to the neighbors that we had RATS and not mice, not understanding that there's a big difference between the two! LOL Sorry that you had to waste your day dealing with them!

Your Easter bag is adorable! French General on anything is always divine. Can't wait to see more!

Oh, and it's 17C here and the news reports are about the heat wave that's gripped the nation. Kind of puts your 30C into perspective...

Don't you just hate mice. Touch wood, we haven't had any for a while, but the traps are always at the ready. I love your latest stitching. We had a cooler day here today and just over an inch of rain. Luckily yesterday was gorgeous and the lawn was mowed and the orchard tidied.

I have not seen the Brocante pattern before. It is a good design to feature some pretty fabrics and French General fits the bill!

Glad to hear I am not the only one with mousey visitors, I was just over at the shearing shed getting some flannel sheets (our nights have cooled off a lot) and saw signs on mice - more washing to do, but I will only wash what we will use as the rest has to stay over in the shed due to renovations/building work at the house.

Love the easter bag, just gorgeous! Broncante looks very very pretty....

Hope your study is going well...

the little bag looks great...someone is a very lucky boy

at least with cleaning the laundry and linen cupboard you will feel a sense of achievement each time you open the doors....

we are also seeing lots of signs of the changing weather, my dressing gown is out of the wardrobe and their are quilts on the lounges ready for snuggly nights

Those are not the kind of visitors to have! Glad he's gone:) Your Easter project is so cute... it will make a great bag for collecting eggs. And your Brocante is looking beautiful!

I heard a little visitor in my house last night...out with the trap for tonight ! I got the cleaning bug by choice this morning, and about 15 mins into it the vaccuum cleaner literally blew up...smoke the whole works, so I threw it out the front door...literally, for hubby to deal with...cleaning over....now to do some sewing.....!! A good result or not???? At least you achieved your cleaning result....well done..
