Intentions to post don't result in a post...that I have discovered as time has spun by. I keep thinking about posting, but other issues have been more pressing . But I knew it was getting a bit too long when SB emailed and asked when I was posting again. OOPS! It must have been a bit long between posts. So here we go!
What has been happening...the study remains all consuming, but this semester will end late next month so there will be a break. House planning is still occurring...some work should start soon on leveling floors.
But there has been some fun too. A trip with my family to the Royal Easter show in Sydney was very exciting indeed. Obviously I didn't realise that we were wearing blue that day...I was in OMG we-have-lost-Mum-orange! I think they wanted me to have a lost child ID bracelet too- just in case.
Initially ambivalent about going, I was thrilled to be there... lots of fun looking at exhibits,

cakes, wood chopping and even a ride on the Ferris Wheel (it was as much fun as I remembered).
Little time or urge to sew, I think there are cobwebs in the sewing room!
I finished the clamshells from GDITC, but I am not sure if I will make them into a hussif. So at present they are waiting for inspiration...cushion perhaps??
A little quiet cross stitch at night...it is relaxing, perhaps the repetition is soothing for my jangled brain.

And just for Loz...some binding machined on today...aren't you proud?

Sounds like agreat day at the show Alison. I love the clamsheels as a cushion. They are so pretty they need to be something you can look at often. Is that cross stitch on linen? I do so love your cross stitch, always beautiful. Tracee xx

I was wondering where you were! Trying to find any stitching mojo after work can be a major challenge, especially when you throw study and house renovating in to the mix!
The Royal Show looks like great fun...we sometimes go to the Perth show, but nothing compares to Sydney. Glad you had a great time.
Lovely so spend time with the kids.....I hope you were a good girl, did they buy you treats....clamshells look fantastic...
Glad you had a great time at the show, we haven't been for years! Hubby has been working at the station there for the duration of the show.

Super impressed that the binding was sewn on, now has there been any more progress????
Your clam shell pillow is very pretty. Sometimes we just get to craft in spurts.
It looks like you have been busy doing lots of fun stuff with your family. Love the clamshells and cross stitch!
Your clamshells are so very beautiful, don't be in a hurry to make a decision about what to do with them. I wish you all the best for your studies until the break..x
Just had a catch-up of your blog... love the clamshells, gorgeous colours, looking forward to seeing what you create with them.... Nundle looks like it was lots of fun.... your pin cushion is lovely, I would have been very excited if I had received it and would have been thanking you the same day, maybe thanks is on its way... Maree's pin cushion is very cute too.
That cross stitch looks interesting, I find it is my favourite craft of all, always makes me feel refreshed and happy bit like a good cuppa...:)
