Well...a bit of an absence as we frantically try to regain some semblance of "normality". Not that we are having much success at present. Rather than being the most boring of bloggers raving on about renovation glitches, kitchen suppliers going bankrupt before yours is made, changing temp accommodation yet again and family illnesses, I will show you some snaps of what progress has been made in the house stakes...
just waiting for a BIG window...
just waiting for some fill...
oh dear Kevin McCloud where are you with your pithy analysis of the renovation process????
No sewing as such, just binding this quilt for Miss E's dear Robert...he is certainly a much loved part of the family now (don't get excited, Miss E had to finish the last bit of binding for me!).
My journeys in Blogland have been very sporadic of late with all that has been happening. I will be a bit absent for the next few weeks as well, a long planned (but now poorly timed) journey is about to begin with some dear friends...I will soon be around waving a bit of red, white and blue!
Wish me luck!

Have a very nice journey. Red white and blue are very common colors for me but I do not think you come to visit me.
Sorry to hear about your glitches...........but have a fantastic holiday!! Can't wait to read all about it!!
Oh gee that sounds awful, sorry to hear everything has gone arse up, but I bet a holiday will be a very good break which I'm sure you need and will be goo to recharge the batteries.

Everything will work out in the end! Enjoy your trip- so sorry we don't get to meet up :-(
Renovations are the pits...I think your foray into the land of red, white and blue sounds like exactly what you need to de-stress. One of your holiday buddies was chatting about it on the weekend and she is very excited.
Have a ton of fun!
Have a wonderful trip.....maybe when you come home the house fairies will have finished!?!
Gorgeous quilt. Hope all goes well with the house for you. Have a fabulous trip. Hugs,
Renovations can be a real ordeal. I think it isn't for the faint hearted, it'll be worth it in the end, and you'll laugh about it in years to come. Enjoy your break, recharge the batteries and things fall into place with a new outlook on the whole process.
Take care Alison and enjoy yourself !
Hey Cardy.....the holiday is close now! Am I ready? Define ready? :)
Enjoy the holiday, leave the reno dramas to DH (hopefully or at least the builder) and soak up the change of pace and scenery. Love Roberts quilt, great pattern for blokes, will quiz you at a later date as to what it is called. Have fun.
Good to see there is some progress. The quilt is lovely. I hope you can relax and enjoy your trip.
I agree, moving and change is hard. Now that we have been in Arizona over a year, I have discovered that there are new friends in every location. Things will settle eventually. Still a lot of work ahead on your home, though!
Enjoy the holiday and remember to keep smiling !
Sounds like you guys are having a very busy time.....love the quilt, have a great trip
Wouldn't we all love Kevin to help us through our renovating! Love the quilt, glad you didn't have to do all the binding!
