Fun in my fabric world....

April is nearly over!

It is hard to believe that April is nearly over...where is this year going?
I look at my blogging stats and see that I am well in the running for a bad bloggers award.
Seriously!
My brain spends time planning projects...constructing them in my mind...even picturing the completed works of art (?) on walls or beds. I gaze at my stash...fondle it...refold it and then pack it back away.
A serious case of the mind is there but it is not getting put into action.
So..instead I will show snippets from last weekend...
the octagons slowly growing...
lovely applique...
beautiful fabrics...
lovely cross stitch from Miss R...
more beautiful fabrics...
aaaah the inspiration of it all!
Currently I am working 9days per fortnight, but fortunately this week there is a Public Holiday for ANZAC day...so there is a plan!
Hopefully Thursday will find me creating something...anything...no matter how big or small...just something!
Watch this space!
Cardygirl xx

Is that another row I see on you octagon quilt? Is so well done on the progress. Your constant stream of visitors does make life even busier even when some of the are stitching buddies. Lets hope the two day break gives you a chance to catch your breath and create.

Your octagons are looking great. Sometimes it's enough just to dream the projects and fondle the fabric.....

If we only sewed so we have something to blog about then the fun goes out of sewing. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! I hope you find some time to enjoy creating. You certainly have a lovely pile of goodness.

The octagons are coming along beautifully, even if slow! Well Done!
Hope you enjoy the sewing & relax a little on that extra day off x

Love the octagons Cardy. Bright and fresh!

I have a plan for Anzac day too that involves sewing - we'll see if we can both pull it off!

I feel the same way Alison... I sit and fondle fabric, but very little is actually getting done. Maybe I should join the ANZAC Day sewing movement too ;)

Hope you are able to find your quilting mojo soon. I love those octagon blocks and that last pile of fabrics is a great color combo. Think my guest room is going to be decorated in similar hues just so I can make quilts in those happy colors.

Finding the inspiration for projects is fun. Stitching at our leisure and shopping are fun. The posting is the hard part, sometimes the boring part. Don't worry about being a bad blogger. We know the lovely work you do and we're all patient! Those fabrics are yummy, and your octagons are lovely.

enjoy your extra day off....! I have taken Friday off to give myself a lovely four day break...one has to ease onself back into work after a holiday! I spend a lot of time planning/visualising projects all from the comfort of my lounge chair....suddenly it's late and I haven't even made the cuppa that I was thinking about....let alone done any stitching! *sigh*
