Well, I think I have made something quite posh...and it is just a humble tea cosy.
That is what I was up to...and I have enjoyed it!
Foundation pieced, a pattern from here..
it might look great when I have some ladies over for tea, but it might look a bit too flashy for every day use?
I have another tea cosy planned...will have to keep it less dramatic and more subtle in my kitchen.
Do you like it?
It actually makes me smile.
But what is even better is that I have really enjoyed making it, and look forward to sewing a little more.
I do enjoy a cup of tea...my current favourites are sweet basil with liquorice or vanilla rooibos...
what is your favourite tea?

Oh yes it is a lovely, posh tea cosie......and if it makes you smile you should definitely use it every day. I like boring old English Breakfast.
Tea - riffic!
Oh how cute! I love it!!
If it makes you smile, you should use it every day! You deserve it! Have fun, and enjoy your tea.
Fantastic cosy, very regal. I like English Breakfast. Hugs.....
LOVE it! I made an adorable tea cozy for a friend but have yet to make one for myself. My favorite tea...first thing in the morning I must have Irish Breakfast.
Very cute, so glad you found your sewing mojo! I am more of a coffee gal but I do enjoy a cup of chai spiced tea now and then.
I did Alson! It's beautiful.
Gosh Cardy I haven't visited for a while you have been amazing. You have done so much I feel a bit slack. Your work is beautiful. I just love the tea cosy looks very "Royal Cardy"
Wow it looks fantastic, definitely coming over for a cuppa soon.....
My favourite tea at the moment is Adelaide breakfast tea from T2
And I love Chai in the evenings
Well it is a bit posh. I guess we'll know which of us you're trying to impress if you bring it out next time we visit. Haha.
I cannot possibly imagine what basil and licorice tea tastes like. What a combination. I like English Breakfast, Lady Grey and Traditional Afternoon tea and occasionally peppermint.
It's gorgeous....I think I need to make one too!
It's great. I like your fabric choices. I've been craving jasmine tea lately, but having a hard time finding it at the grocery.
Wow Alison that is posh! I didn't guess that is what you were making but it looks fantastic. I am no tea drinker-coffee all the way for me.
I love your cosy, very regal indeed! I can't even imagine basil and licorice tea. I do like Rooibos.
Very noice!
I'm a humble English Breakfast girl meself, although I loved the T2 Creme Brûlée when we went to High Tea and have been wanting to go to their store for an explore...
I'ma plain black tea girl myself with the occasional chocolate chip with toffee thrown in to mix it up.
I love your tea cosy. Makes me want to rush out and make one myself !
Love the tea cosy. It's very nice. Hugs,xx.
very flash... serving high tea sometime? love it... I like Earl Grey tea...
Hugz
That is gorgeous, love the colours, well done. I'm very boring and just love plain old lipton tea.
I love it! and just right for everyday I think....not sure about the sweet basil tea with whatever it was....sounded pretty posh to me....I remember buying tea in the Lancaster market and trying to make a good cuppa in a hotel with no jug just a coffee maker! I usually stick with Irish Breakfast tea - boring/predictable maybe?
You are so cleaver.....love it
Thats Awesome!!... Love the colours..it does make you smile..its a very happy tea cosy!
Tea?....I just love plain old black tea...in a tea pot of course....No bags!
Xx
Just right for when the Queen visits! If it makes you smile use it everyday. Can't beat a Twinings Assam Bold.
LOVE it!!!!!! English breakfast or Australian afternoon tea brew for me! Wish I was close enough to share a brew with you xx
Such a gorgeous tea cosy Cardy! xo
Sweet! Hum... I do now own a tea cozy! Thanks for the link! My favourite tea is Egyptian licorice! Love black licorice! May I join you?! Cheers!
