Fires..

Hot, windy weather...and fire is the result.
Today I was supposed to be on the road with work, heading straight into an area where there were fires over the past few days. With the weather forecast I decided my trip was non-essential, so did the planned reviews by phone instead. A good choice as the area has been badly affected and emergency services didn't need me tootling around in their way! Work colleagues had to leave to collect much loved pets and move them to safety.
Hopefully a forecast change may help.
Here is my lunchtime view.

We have been watching it unfold in the news today - it's terrible and quite frightening considering that it is only spring. I hope you all stay safe up there xxx

Discretion Iis always the better part of valour. good call to stay out of the area. Have been watching the coverage on the news, and thoughts are with those affected...crazy weather with hail and wind causing havoc in Melbourne and snow in Tassie!

It's been bad this season already, we have a fire on our outskirts but it looks under control. Keep safe.

It has certainly been a bad start to the season. Frightening to think that we are only in the middle of Spring.

I hope the fires haven't come closer to you. Lots of smoke at our place over the weekend and today.
