Lea was over today with her latest project...purchased from amitie at Darling Harbour. A pattern by Red Mumma called Chain Reaction...it had a few great variations too. It also looked really good in pastels.
She is using a collection of Kaffe Fassett prints...some from the show...some from Jackie at Canton Village Quilts...some from her stash. With a nice black with white pindot for the triangles.
Lea is a little unsure about her placement....so here are some pics...what do you think?
What about these 4 patch blocks...coordinating or contrast circles? She would love some input...

Tell Lea she's done a fantastic job with the placement. It will look amazing.
As far as the 4 patches - they both look great but I have a preference for the coordinating.
Fabulous use of Kaffe! Thanks for the link too. This is a wonderful pattern to use them in. As far as advice, they both look wonderful, but I think it boils down to a matter of preference. Does she prefer a higher contrast? If so, then she needs to go this direction. The other choice, give a more "romantic" feel, which is beautiful too. I would love to see it with the triangles in place, that might sway my opinion either way.
Alison they are gorgeous!
Lovely fabrics. My preference is the coordinating as I feel it will have more flow and draw the eye towards the design. Contrast will still look good though.......... as someone has said - it's all to individual preference...... Hugz
Fantastic use of Kaffe Fassett prints. Kim :)
hey Toothfairy.......nice to see you stitching.......I like the top quilt the best......
They are both beautiful options! I really like the ones that stand out! :-)
The blocks with the circles are wonderful!
it is a great pattern, i have also seen several versions by the girls at the shop and all look good. i think lea's version is looking good and i think the four patch look ok however they come, they just fit in with it all because there is so much happening! it does also look good with plain circles!
Great Fabrics & I Love the Placement as is....
cheers
