Fun in my fabric world....

Back...but only physically!

Holidays must end, but it was so lovely to spend quiet time with my dear husband (now renamed SB!).
Finding it a bit hard to settle at home and work...we had time to talk about future plans for relocation as work is no longer locally centred...who knows what the next twelve months may hold?
Spending most of our time in Singapore was lovely with respite on an Indonesian island...bliss.
We shopped, ate super lovely food, did some sightseeing and even manged to catch up with a dear stitching friend! What more could a girl want?
We visited textile shops in Arab Street...
fabric shops with Kate...
lots of great food...
and had stitching time on the plane!
Lots to show...this post was intended for last night, but at 6.40pm on a cold night I had one of "those" phone calls..."There is a problem...". DD and her boyfriend were returning from friends and they had hit a kangaroo about 1 1/2hrs away...both of them were fine (kangaroo not!)...and they needed retrieval as the car was to be towed to Tamworth. Off went the ugg boots (never worn in public) and I hit the road. Nice to find them safe and well...here is the damage!
More soon!

Oh gosh glad everyone was ok. We hit deer here in the US and I'm giggling over what it would be like to see a kangaroo. Sorry for the giggling part. From the looks of the photos you had a very lovely time recharging your batteries.

So glad you had such a great time away!! Not so good about the kangaroo. Our car is a bit better equipped to deal with roos than that one!! Doesn't look good! Glad they are alright though.

I'm sorry, but I'm giggling with Stephanie. We hit deer around here, and it sounds so funny to be hitting a kangaroo! Glad no one was hurt (poor roo). Sounds like a wonderful vacation.

Darn 'roo's.
Glad the passengers are OK. We saw similar carnage on our return from Perisher this weekend, both cars and creatures. Pity when the two meet it is usually catastrophic.
Hang in there - I find the best treatment for post-holiday blues is to get another one booked asap!!

Glad you had a nice time. I would so love a sea change - Maybe one day :) I am glad it was only the car damaged - They can be very dangerous popping out in front of cars...

It sounds and looks like you had a lovely holiday! I'm so glad to hear your daughter and her boyfriend are both ok- scary when you get into an accident like that.

Glad your daughter and her boyfriend are OK, Skippy can be a really problem, third person this week that I've heard of hitting or being hit by a kangaroo.

Your holiday looks magnificent, and had all the major ingredients, relax, shop, relax, eat, relax...etc

Welcome home Cardy...even if it's a bit tough getting back into routine again. So glad your DD and her man are ok...roos can cause an awful lot of damage, can't they? So glad you';ve recharged your batteries and can start to make some plans for the future...I wonder what it will hold for you? You may have to spill the beans what SB stands for :)

Looks like a fabulous trip. Best of luck deciding where your lives will go in the next few months.
And I've only seen kangaroos in our zoo's. I'm trying to picture hitting one by car. We have the same difficulties with deer who often run across the roads at dusk. I'm so glad your daughter is OK:)

Glad you had such a fantastic holiday! Pity about the car but glad that everyone is ok. Even with bull bars roo's can do damage, my bullbar sits crooked now in spite of Mr Busy adjusting it.
