Spots and spotted!

As I have been sharing ( and am secretly thrilled about) I have bound three quilts last week.
There are still a few more to go, but at least I have started. Now my poor finger needs to heal so that I can start again. Most people seem to enjoy hand stitching the binding down as it is the final step of their creative process...I was impressed! Then I thought...hmmm...send out some of my pile to those who "love" binding... evil laugh! But then I know that I could not "let go" of my creations...awfully control freak of me, but that is just the way I am...stop sniggering Chookyblue!
So here is a pic of Number 3...started at our sewing retreat at Nundle in July 2011...this was a great pattern from Cluck Cluck Sew...easy and I love the look of it. SB thinks they look like red clown noses...I like staring at it and seeing the different patterns which form. No borders, just spotty binding...with a very happy spotty dog as embellishment!
Feels like winter is approaching tonight...ANZAC day will be off to a chilly start tomorrow!

Another gorgeous quilt. My goodness you must have a huge hole in your finger now!!! I always end up with a very sore finger after binding, as I too, don't like thimbles.
It's quite cool here tonight too... Going to be very hard getting out of bed early in the morning!!!

Looking good! I tend to procrastinate when it comes to adding the final borders so maybe I should just start making quilts without borders at all.

A finish is always such a good feeling. I have that pattern, and keep hoping to get to it soon!

I love that! And I know what you mean about looking at the different patterns. Your binding fabric is one of my favorites and I have sworn that the next time I see some in a store, I am going to buy the whole bolt! It's like a neutral for me, lol.

Love a spotty dog embellishment! Another gorgeous finish! Chilly Anzac day is right - perfect excuse not to leave the house and get some sewing done

Great pic!! I bought that pattern when I saw it on your blog and have made a baby quilt...perhaps I should think about doing some sewing today instead of spending all day so far on the computer! I didn't make the dawn service this year..... :( Am enjoying having a day at home though......sewing room here I come....!

Congratulations on your finishes. Three bound quilts on one week! No wonder your fingers are sore!
I hope they heal quickly.

Ha, the dog looks to be claiming some ownership there! I can hear your fingers saying wearily... "thimble, thimble, th...imble"! x

Oh WELL DONE you :) I am super impressed by your efforts...I hate sewing the binding on, so totally feel your pain! Anything with spots is good with me, too...LOL!
You are going to have a very impressive quilt pile.

This has turned out beautifully, Cardy......I fondly remember roaming Kerry's shop for the perfect fabrics for this quilt......doesn't it feel good to put that last stitch in the binding??.......well done....I love finishes, but I love starting a new project equally as much (that's why there are so many projects on-the-go at my place......lol....)

Loz sent me on over...

First off ...your quilt is gorgeous! Send your quilts to me , I dont mind binding them. (I used to hate it so I must getting senile )

Secondly , the reason Loz sent me on over is because of your GSP. I have two of them myself (one is about the size of a Shetland pony!)
