So, firstly I will share my octagons...started a lifetime ago (not really...just being grandiose!) which were dragged out on Monday to take to the sewing group near my home. Some were cut from fabrics purchased in New York, so they are very special. The need to create is strong...and I need to nurture it and hope it returns healthy and demanding attention!
And some house stuff too. The mirror and shower screen were installed today, so, once the window architrave is painted and the power connected to the towel rail, the main bathroom will be complete.
Some semblance of "us" is now noticeable as I gradually add more of our possessions to our space.
And, finally, our dear Molly has returned from an extended stay with our very dear friends...they loved her as their own and walked her to the beach every day....I think that she will miss their daily walks and find me quite boring! But I am loving having her here...I love seeing her face watching me through the glass....
And helping in the decision process!

Your home is looking beautiful Cardy and I can understand how wonderful it is for you to have Molly home.
Awww, your sweet pup is adorable! I'm sure it's stressful to still have things not sorted but also so nice to go along and arrange things and make your space your own.
You're nearly there! Having Molly home is a sure sign that life is getting to a new normal.
Ooh gorgeous octagons! So lovely to see your new home, I'm glad it's coming together and that you have lovely Molly home, yay! xo
Displaced furry friends need extra special love. :o) I know your octagon project will be amazing. I hope you settle in and enjoy your "new" life in your new home.
Your new home is lovely!
It sounds and looks like you are settling in and making it feel like home. I love seeing your progress and it is progress even though sometimes it might not seem like that.
A whole lot of life stressors... sounds like you need some quilting therapy!! I'm sure something simple like covering hexxies or working on your octagons will help reignite that happy creative place thats been a little quiet lately.
Bet its great to have your fur-baby back!
Having Molly home has to be the sign that things are settling down. Your home is looking beautiful. hugs
glad it is all starting to work for you Alison and so good to get your molly back.xx
it must be great having Molly back, i know that each day cooper will be waiting at the front door and that makes my heart swell
Always lovely to have a family member home....your one looks lovely ...the fabric you used in our octagons are lovely and fresh!
Glad you are feeling a bit more settled in, it does take time - we have moved a bit and I always find it a big upheaval, physically and emotionally. When I returned to live in my home town I really felt like I had to start from scratch...except I knew where to find the butcher, baker etc!
Nice to make your space your own, helps definately.
Cardy I hope that the feeling of settling in continues for you, it's a massive adjustment & perfectly normal to feel a little out of place for a while.
The octagons are gorgeus, can't wait to see what you do with them x
Oomph! sometimes disappears when we are ommphing in other places, and your new work certainly looks really grand.
Nothing like some ooooomph returning to make you feel better...love those octagons...and the louvres in your bathroom...I am sure Molly is enjoying being with you again and getting used to her new home. Animals seem to take less time to settle in to a new environment than we do...as long as they have their people around they are home!
Glad you are getting your oomph back...love the octagons!! Colours are so bright and cheery. Bathroom looks fab and having Molly home to enjoy her company again will be wonderful.
