Fun in my fabric world....

Just a slight shade of pea green....

...yup, just a little envious I would have to admit.
I am not a girl who normally gets envious...it is not something I really understand. If it is not mine, I either work toward getting my own or simply don't worry about it. Life is too short. So many people spend far too much time worrying about what other people have...too much negativity is so draining.
BUT...
on that note I did find myself starting to turn a pale shade of Wicked Witch of the West GREEN last night. Some of you who have the misfortune to know me in the real world have no doubt that I have a few witch like traits...evil laugh!
So what had me turning all chameleon?????
THIS!!!
Kylie, a funny, warm and super talented lady who I have been attending sewing group with is making a Dear Jane. GASP! I love it, I want it...can't she give it to me?
And it is almost all machine sewn...even little teeny tiny oval piecing fiddly stuff...she is a whizz!
Here are some more pics...
I just love it...
makes me want to make one (I must need those tablets the doctor wanted me to take? Just joking!! Hope she was joking??)...don't you love it too?
Here is the sill above my desk....think it sums me up!
Next thing I will be growing a wart on my chin...oops...oh no....

Stunning, fiddly, amazing. Perhaps she can "will" it to you or you can cast an evil spell. :o) Or perhaps you can spend the rest of your life making your very own Dear Jane. I would remain envious and ask to visit the quilt often.

Bahahaha I remember that sign!! Nicest DJ quilt I have seen I think...it's lovely but I have never been tempted to start one....it would probably end up like my Farmers Wife potolders! You are hanging out with some seriously talented people! Thanks for sharing xx

Wow ...wow ...wow...I will wrestle you to the death if Kylie is giving that quilt away. I want one too.

Pfttttttt..Loz stole my line. I really did make potholders out of my unfinished FW blocks!

Wow, that dear Jane is spectacular. So fun and happy. I am thinking it might bring out the green eyed monster in many of us!

Surely you are a good witch? And hopefully no warts......or whiskers! I think all Dear Janes are gorgeous. This one is very you, and yes, she should give it to you. I have had the book for a couple of years but doubt I will ever start because I just can't decide on a colour/style. Happy to enjoy everyone else's hard work.

Wow Kylie is producing a stunner there! No wonder you are green... but remember, you do make some stunning stuff yourself, so sit back & appreciate your own talents too! x

Completely understandable reaction Alison. The quilt is fabulous - how on earth does she manage machine sewing those tiny, tiny pieces. I bought the book, templates etc and started collecting fabric - ended up selling the lot because I knew it just wasn't going to happen.

Great quilt and post. I thought about a Dear Jane quilt but don't think I would ever finish it although I have bought The Farmers Wife book so go figure. Hugs......

Stunning!! How rude that she won't give it to you...LOL!!
I have never been tempted to do one...mine wouldn't even get to the pot holder stage hehe

I have also ladies in my sewing group that I wish would share some of their stuff with me to, but sadly they don't LOL. I was thinking of doing a DJ and this one is putting more on the plus side. When you said most of it was machine sewed I think that tipped me even further to the yes side again. Knowing myself I would get past the pot holder stage to about the table runner size!!!! Absolutely gorgeous thank you and Kylie for sharing.

Has a seed been sewn? It's fabulous and so great in different colours. I bet the photo doesn't do it justice.

I am sure she will take it as a compliment if you follow her lead and use these lovely fresh colours in your own version...she might give you some scraps?! I am a repo girl, but even I find traditional Dear Jane colours too dull, this rainbow version is a delight! PS I would/could only be tempted though if I sized the blocks up AND then sewed them on the machine...and made about half the number of blocks the orginal has...just saying in case you do get tempted to start one!

Wow, what a beautiful Dear Jane!! I love the brighter colours Kylie is using. And machine stitched!! Wow, very impressive! I cannot imagine machining something so tiny!!!
Thank you for sharing!
