Another hectic week has whizzed by for us all!
School holidays here, DS getting prepared for his final exams...work for me as usual.
Hopes that next week will be a little quieter & then hopefully some quiet stitching time in the evenings!
But firstly it was time to attempt to control the fabric bomb that had decimated the sewing room!
A sigh of relief when some order is restored & a promise to myself to never let that happen again.
Oh...be quiet...I can hear you chortling away from here...and your room is never a mess??????
So here are some snaps of something delicious which is under construction....
pretty inspiration from modern retro textiles!
And some truly gorgeous cross stitch & threads from the delightful Liz of broderie....
very generous & very much appreciated! Thankyou Liz!
I have heard some mentions of an online Quilt Festival....need to find some more info....any hints....or I can just go prowling!

My sewing room is a shambles but hey only I see it!!
The bloggers quilt festival is being hosted by Amy at parkcitygirl.blogspot.com. Be ready to spend some time checking it out.
A week ago I could say my room was a mess, but hey!!! It is wonderful when it is all clean again, but it did take a whole day!! I love your fabrics. Have fun at the quilt festival...make sure you put your name in the widget list once you have posted your about your choice quilt so that others can find you. xo
It is difficult to keep the sewing room tidy when inspiration strikes! Love your latest fabric. Good luck to your DS in his exams.
You should see my sewing room at the moment - or more to the point can't see. Fabric everywhere - even spread out on the floor. That is my job for tomorrow.
Enjoy your quilt tour , what I've seen is amazing .
Ohh.. Love the fabric... recognize the princess..:o))
And I love the floss and the X-stitch!!!
Part of the "creativity" involved in quilting is not just color and design, but creatively finding or making the time to get something done. Love you works "under construction."
great bag and pleased to hear you have been cracking the whip on Lea.......
Lots of great inspiration there, I love blackbird cross stitch. The good thing about mess is that when you finally clear it up - you find things you forgot you even had. Or is that just me?;)
