Simple, yet strong

This is a quilt I made for my son a few years ago. He chose the fabrics & I made it from a Thimbleberries pattern- went together in a weekend.
I like the simplicity of the stars & the bold strength of the colours.
Simple, yet strong, a great teenage boy quilt. He likes it.
He is calmly working through his exams.

Very nice quilt - and you are quite right, great boys quilt. You said your son is calmly working through his exams - but how are you? My son starts his exams Sunday - he's calm - I'm a nervous wreck!

I really like this one, I love star quilts and the colours are perfect for a boys quilt. Wish him all the best for his exams from us xo

Very striking. I love stars and repeating patterns. Fantastic quilt for a male.

It is a good boys quilt! Both my sons have asked for quilts...and I've been looking around for good boy patterns...I hadn't looked at any star patterns yet, so thanks for this post!

Very nice! Perfect for a guy. My son has finally requested a quilt from me, and I think I will go for simple, graphic, strong colors.

Beautiful quilt. I find my nephews very hard to buy for let alone make them a quilt.

Love it! Fantastic colours! you have done a top job on the stars, they can be tricky with the points. I can see why your son loves it. I am sure he will do well with his exams, won't be long and they will be over.
