My heart is amongst the fabric...

Nice to see all the post Christmas blog activity, lots of sewing & setting of goals...quite inspirational really!I am quite inspired by everyone, but feel a tad hesitant about committing to finishing a project a month or starting a big new project. There are a few things I would like to do & I feel inclined to slowly plod through this year....dad has been quite unwell, getting children organised with employment & starting uni...lots of distractions! My heart is amongst the fabric, but my head is full of family! My time will come no doubt.

This is one of the piles in my sewing room....a few thoughts of what I might do with it...some ricrac & plenty of the stripe...any suggestions???

Is that French General fabric? No wonder your head is with the fabric! I just bought some too and I am hesitant to cut into it...I LOVE IT! If you are like me you are looking for the perfect pattern! Don't worry once you see it you will know...take care!

I have a jelly roll and two charm packs of that gorgeous fabric and am still trying to decide what to do with it, so I'm probably not much help. I'm sure inspiration will come.

i suggest let the fabric do the talking, use a simple design, the tumbling blocks in the kaffe book you got for christmas would work well i think. you can really play with that pattern forming stars within the blocks. or just rows of diamonds would also look good. the fabric range is beautiful.

I'm not committing to completing one project a month either. My life changes so quickly and family comes first! I love that fabric, no ideas but can't wait to see what you do with it!

I know what you mean, I start off with good intentions but it doesnt always last.I have to work as the spirit moves me which sometimes isnt for weeks on end then I'll have a flurry of activity, its hard to commit to anything but thats the way I am...

Well, if I tell you what to do with your fabric, you're just going to have to come on over to my house and tell me what to do with mine!

Such pretty fabric! Can't wait to see what you come up with :)

Ohhhh... French General... delicious! We have half a line at the shoppe! Lovely fabrics. You should see their new line coming in March. Lovely blues! Oh my! We have such similar taste. I cherish the bag you made me! It's hard for me to use it, I don't want to ruin it! ;o) Keep well!
