Another stinking hot day!

It is 9am, the wind is HOT & blustery!
It is already 35C & the winds are gusty northerlies & you can smell the smoke in the air.
I hope everyone stays safe & the firefighters day is not too terrible.
There are apparently fires out near Kandos & Rylstone...that might be where the smoke is coming from.

This is the bush behind our home.
I get quite paranoid about it on days like this. We are very particular about keeping it mowed out behind the fence & keeping our yard neat & free of rubbish. Sadly our neighbours are not so diligent...read dead mowers, boats & car bodies...& long grass! Nice people though!

On a brighter note...
I have had this Liberty Star pattern looking at me for some time now...
she just needs a face & Noel to be appliqued on her skirt...cute!

I love the Flea Market fancy fabrics...oh so hard to find...so I entered the giveaway...sorry for the button but I would really like this!

I don't envy you those temperatures. Here is Brisbane it is 27 degrees and I thought that was bad enough at this hour.
I too trust the firefighters have a safe and not too terrible day. They do a fantastic job.
Hope you get rain soon.

Hope you stay cool and safe today. Sadly, it is a shame when people around you are not as diligent when it comes to fire hazards...I am in the same boat. Enjoy your day! Jo xox

I get paranoid too. We don't have bush around us, mainly grass but we also have the very untidy neighbours.

So dusty and windy here today, Kandos/Rystone are on evacuation alert last time I heard. Great day to stay inside definately and at least you have a lovely view to look upon.

Hope you stayed safe and didn't melt. We were cool again yesterday, seems to be only extremes of weather at the moment, very hot or cold!!! Think we missed spring! Looking forward to seeing that wallhanging finished.

australian weather all over is not what we are used to, it is very scary to be getting all this heat so early! we had a day of rain in melbourne yesterday and it was just wonderful, but is so short lived ! but a cooler break after the heat. take care.

Beautiful wallhanging - surprised you can get anything done in that heat. Hope it's a bit cooler in NSW now.

LOL about the neighbor's backyard. My eyes scanned ahead and saw the word "bodies". Glad their not human or animal. Yes, it would be wonderful to win some FMF!
